You've Leveled Up, But Can You Win the Game?

By Ryan M. Maes Leave a Comment

A man, dressed in a sleek suit and illuminated by heavenly light, encircled by a crowd of hopeful young virgins.

"Fairness means you get an opportunity; fairness does not mean you get an outcome. If hard work is all that's required, we would all be guaranteed success. But hard work only gets you to the dance; it doesn't guarantee a top spot. Hard work gets you the tryout; it doesn't guarantee a position on the team. Hard work earns you an interview; it doesn't guarantee a job. So, be strong and courageous, and run with endurance the race that is set before you, knowing that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. For God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love Him."

— The God Pill

You've done the HARD WORK, have you?

You've made something of yourself.

Your money, muscles, game, and faith are on point.

You've leveled up mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually—

—and you've become the best version of yourself.

You've never felt better!

Here's the bad news.

Your journey has only just begun...

All your hard work only gets you to the TRYOUTS—

—but you do not get the prize; you do not get the girl.

You are only "prequalified" to enter the competition against all the other hopeful men who also qualify.

Now, pause a moment—

—and let that sink in...

All the strenuous labor...

All the time, effort, and energy...

All the self-sacrifice, leveling up, and achievement...

All the toil, struggle, creating, and becoming—

—and now you are merely... competing?

That's right—you're just a "contender."

As mathematicians say, meeting her standards is a NECESSARY—but not SUFFICIENT—condition.

Welcome to the big leagues.

Let the Games Begin! 🏆

"The fact that a car has wheels does not motivate anyone to buy a car. This is because we expect cars to come with wheels. You do not secure a sale by providing wheels with your car; however, a car without wheels significantly demotivates anyone from buying. You functionally ensure that you will not secure a sale by not providing wheels with your car. Providing wheels does not help you, but not providing wheels absolutely hurts you."

— Dr. Orion Teraban, PsycHacks

✠ P.S. If you are tired of saying yes when you mean no, letting things slide, and then resenting yourself later, this is not kindness—it is self-betrayal. Boundaries are not about others; they are about whether you respect your own word. The Kingdom Council 🏛️ is where you stop folding under pressure and lead with a standard that holds. Because if you will not enforce your line, no one else will.

You Don't Know What You Don't Know

By Ryan M. Maes Leave a Comment

A sparkling eye, filling the frame with its radiant shine and intricate details, reflecting light beautifully.

"It's possible to know just enough about a subject to think you're right, but not enough to know you're wrong."

— Neil deGrasse Tyson, American astrophysicist

If you've studied any subject to a moderate extent—and put in reasonable effort—you may know just enough to think you're right, but not enough to realize you're WRONG.

This creates a valley of false confidence.

This phenomenon, known as the Dunning-Kruger effect, occurs when a little knowledge leads to an overestimation of one's understanding or ability.

As you learn more, you realize you know 👉 LESS 👈 than you initially thought.

Your confidence dips—

—but as you continue learning, your understanding deepens, and—ultimately—you become competent enough to know whether you're RIGHT or WRONG.

The Dunning-Kruger effect.

"Unfortunately, what happens when men get exposed to the Red Pill is often what's called a Dunning-Kruger effect. It's the peak of 'Mount Stupid' because you don't really know what you think you know; you just know the bare level of it. So, men who are often the least competent or the least knowledgeable about something are exhibiting the most amount of confidence. So, when men are getting exposed to all this stuff, they're, you know, coming with this certainty about what they're talking about, but they don't really know what they're talking about."

— Ruslan

✠ P.S. If you are tired of shouldering the weight of manhood alone—failing quietly, pretending you are fine, and telling yourself you will get it together tomorrow—this is the truth: isolation does not make men stronger; it makes them softer. The Kingdom Council 🏛️—Brotherhood of Kings is where men stop hiding behind excuses and choose discipline over distraction. Because a lone wolf does not grow stronger—he starves.

What Pain Will It Cost You if You Don't Change?

By Ryan M. Maes Leave a Comment

A lone gunslinger in an otherworldly setting, with a mysterious tower looming in the background and a raven perched on a carcass nearby.

"So as a shy guy, two years ago for the first time ever I approached a girl that I was interested after so many pushes my friends gave me. Unfortunately, she was extremely rude and defensive to me. Despite the way she was acting, I was thinking she was interested too. Definitely not ideal to say all girls are like that, but I guess I won't approach anyone again. That was my first and last time I have ever approached a girl. Nowadays, when I feel a girl might be interested to me, I just ignore them. I am kinda disappointed with their behaviour. I mean why being rude when you kindly just say no and you will never see me again."

— Tn Sam

Once, when I was six years old, a horse stepped on my foot—and it hurt. A lot. Therefore, I will NEVER enter the presence of another horse. "I will not get on that horse!"

Do you grasp how absurd that sounds?

Men were made to adapt and overcome, to expand in the face of tribulation—not shrink and shrivel.

In other words, men exist to OVERCOME adversity, not to be overcome by adversity.

Let it sink in that your past does not equal your future.

Again, your past does not equal your FUTURE.

It may feel like it's you versus the world—but it's really just you versus yourself.

So, pick yourself up. Dust yourself off. Set your emotions aside. And be a man.

👉 GET BACK ON THAT HORSE 👈

Because pain is inevitable—

—but suffering is VOLUNTARY.

Remember, frustration isn't fatal: it merely signals your strategy isn't working. So, STAY STRONG—

—and don't let the warfare around you become the warfare within you.

"To bear trials with a calm mind robs misfortune of its strength and burden."

— Seneca The Younger

"The cave you fear to enter holds the treasure you seek."

— Joseph Campbell

"Most of the grand truths of God have to be learned by trouble; they must be burned into us with the hot iron of affliction, otherwise we shall not truly receive them."

— C. H. Spurgeon

✠ P.S. If overthinking and social anxiety are choking your confidence, it is not because you lack insight—it is because you lack exposure. You do not need another self-help trick—you need proximity to a brotherhood of men who will not let you hide. The Kingdom Council 🏛️ is where men train to confront fear head-on. Because the habit of hesitation quietly trains you to disappear.

Reality is Shaped by Words—

By Ryan M. Maes Leave a Comment

An image of a vast network of glowing nodes and lines, symbolizing effective communication and collaboration between individuals.

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."

— John 1:1 (ESV)

—and words shape 👉 COMMUNICATION 👈.

"Words have power. Our words structure consciousness, shape decisions, and drive behavior. Clear and effective communication is the cornerstone of connection, the powerhouse of persuasion, and the essence of influence."

— The God Pill

Communication is the ultimate SUPERPOWER, and there are two levels to it:

The first level is making people understand what you think—

—and the second level is making them 👉 THINK 👈 what you think.

If you can do one, you're formidable.

If you can do both, you're INVINCIBLE. 💪

"Let's say you've got some complex idea that you're trying to convey to somebody else. How do you do that? Well, your brain spends a lot of effort compressing a complex concept into words. There's a lot of information loss that occurs when compressing a complex concept into words. Then, you say those words. Those words are then interpreted and decompressed by the person who is listening. They will, at best, get a very incomplete understanding of what you're trying to convey. It's very difficult to convey a complex concept with precision because you've got compression and decompression, and you may not even have heard all the words correctly. So, communication is difficult, and what we have here is a failure to communicate."

— Elon Musk

➡️ Pro tip: If you can guide someone to envision something on their own, whether related to sales, attraction, persuasion, or influence, they will see it as their 💡 OWN IDEA 💡. As a result, they are much more likely to act on it and less likely to resist it—it's like "mental aikido." Remember, less is always more. So, be as concise as possible, but as comprehensive as necessary; it's about VALUE PER SECOND, not seconds of value.

"But Moses pleaded with the Lord, 'O Lord, I’m not very good with words. I never have been, and I’m not now, even though you have spoken to me. I get tongue-tied, and my words get tangled.' Then the Lord asked Moses, 'Who makes a person's mouth? Who decides whether people speak or do not speak, hear or do not hear, see or do not see? Is it not I, the Lord?'"

— Exodus 4:10-11 (NLT)

✠ P.S. If hesitation hijacks your mouth and you replay moments instead of seizing them, this is not nerves—it is isolation. Men are sharpened by men, not silence. The Kingdom Council 🏛️ trains you to crush doubt and establish presence under pressure. Because the man who hesitates does not lose ground—he gives it away.

Don't Quit Too Soon

By Ryan M. Maes Leave a Comment

A man captured midair, leaping across a creek in a vibrant, lush forest, surrounded by dense greenery and natural beauty.

Many men assume half-hearted efforts are enough. "A small jump is easier than a large one, but no one wishing to cross a wide ditch would cross half of it first."

This quote makes an important distinction: Putting in partial effort is ineffective when trying to achieve a lofty goal. Taking small, easy jumps won't get you across a wide ditch.

Many men striving for success eventually feel discouraged and give up TOO EARLY. They lack the discipline, persistence, and consistency required to build momentum and progress. Trying to jump halfway across a wide ditch is set up for failure; you'll likely fall short and get stuck.

Of course, reassessing and changing course—as well as the willingness to adapt and reinvent yourself—often proves beneficial. However, very few men invest the necessary time, effort, and energy required before quitting.

Most men give up just before the finish line when things are most grueling—

—but sometimes all it takes is a little more suffering, a little more grit. Sometimes, we just don't know how close we are. Sometimes…

"Perseverance is not a long race; it is many short races one after the other."

— Walter Elliot

Before embarking on any endeavor, it is imperative to COUNT THE COST (Luke 14:28-29). "No one starts a war—or rather, no one in his senses ought to do so—without first being clear in his mind what he intends to achieve by that war and how he intends to conduct it."

Remember: HALFWAY EFFORTS inevitably lead to HALFWAY RESULTS.

"Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it."

— 1 Corinthians 9:24 (ESV)

✠ P.S. If you keep starting things with intensity and abandoning them the moment resistance shows up, this is not a motivation problem—it is a follow-through failure. Men do not lose momentum because they are tired; they lose it because no one is watching and nothing is at stake. The Kingdom Council 🏛️ is where unfinished work is exposed, accountability is demanded, and men put skin in the game. Because unfinished men are quietly replaced—then forgotten.

Stop Seeking, Start Seeing: Escaping the Information Trap

By Ryan M. Maes Leave a Comment

A bold, striking eye enveloped by a cascade of colorful flecks, creating a dynamic and visually captivating scene.

"It is not daily increase but daily decrease, hack away the unessential."

— Bruce Lee

Sometimes, the solutions we seek are surprisingly simple, yet profound; surprisingly visible, yet invisible; surprisingly obvious, yet elusive—

—and we fail to recognize them, taking them for granted.

Fundamental truths are often so familiar we overlook them, making life harder than it ought to be.

Yet, the revelations we seek are frequently hidden in PLAIN SIGHT.

(Common Sense 101.)

"Most men see, but they do not observe. They hear, but they do not listen. They recognize, but they do not internalize... but you're not like most men."

— The God Pill

To gain clarity, you must change your perspective and model of perceiving the world from an emotional belief system to a RATIONAL one.

Then, you can see what's truly happening in real-time.

Listen, you don't need more information; you need more INTROSPECTION.

Again, less information; more 👉 OBSERVATION 👈.

Stop seeking that ever-elusive "magic bullet"—"always learning but never able to come to a knowledge of the truth" (2 Tim. 3:7)—

—and open your eyes to what's already there!

Practice addition by subtraction.

"Life is a school where you learn how to remember what your soul already knows"

— Unknown

Now, pause... reflect for a moment, and let that sink in.

Resolve to stop scrolling, stop consuming—

—and put down your device.

Quell the noise, my brother.

Turn off the "infotainment"—

—and enjoy the quiet company of your mind, confident that God has given you instinct!

"For His divine power has bestowed on us [absolutely] everything necessary for life and godliness, through true and personal knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. And my God will supply all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus."

— 2 Peter 1:3; Philemon. 4:19 (AMP)

Less information; more APPLICATION.

Again, less information; more IMPLEMENTATION. 💪

Don't overcomplicate things.

It's not knowing what to do, it's doing what you know—"Speed of Implementation" is your ally.

Play the game now—

—and learn the rules later.

Remember, the measure of a man is his ability to produce more resources than he consumes.

So, stop consuming and start producing.

Return to the basics.

What will you find there?

Only what you bring with you, my friend...

Only what you bring with YOU. 🫵

"He has blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts, so they can neither see with their eyes, nor understand with their hearts... but blessed are your eyes, for they see, and your ears, for they hear."

— John 12:40; Matthew 13:16 (ESV)

✠ P.S. If endless scrolling and cheap dopamine have fried your focus, distraction is not the problem—digital dependence is. Focus does not vanish on its own; it gets traded away one impulse at a time. The Kingdom Council 🏛️ trains you to break compulsion and live on purpose instead of impulse. Because a man who cannot control his attention will never control his life.

Luck Is What Happens When Preparation Meets Opportunity"

By Ryan M. Maes Leave a Comment

A mighty warrior, poised with determination, with towering castle spires rising in the background, symbolizing strength and grandeur.

"Luck counts, but you can't really count on luck—because luck favors the 'lucky'."

— The God Pill

Let's consider the wisdom in this quote: "The end for which a soldier is recruited, clothed, armed, and trained, the whole object of his sleeping, eating, drinking, and marching is simply that he should fight at the right place and the right time." This sentiment deeply reflects the core of military life.

Yet it also imparts a universal message on the value of READINESS in all circumstances.

Today, men prioritize speed over thoroughness, ease over commitment, and comfort over consistency.

However, as soldiers exemplify, success hinges on prior and proper preparation. Every aspect of their training aims not just to fight—

—but also to WIN.

"I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times."

— Bruce Lee

This level of preparation ensures that when the time comes, the soldier is not only present but effective.

Similarly, in our daily lives, thorough preparation makes the difference between success and failure. It equips us with the tools to face challenges, instills courage in our actions, and provides confidence in our decisions, ensuring we are ready when we show up.

The English writer Samuel Johnson said, "Competence leads to confidence, which leads to accomplishment."

Our accomplishments then demonstrate our competence, which further boosts our confidence, thus creating momentum: a VIRTUOUS CYCLE.

This positive feedback loop is no accident—

"If the ax is dull and its edge unsharpened, more strength is needed, but skill will bring success."

— Ecclesiastes 10:10 (NIV)

—because "luck," after all, is the intersection of PREPARATION and opportunity.

"The horse is made ready for the day of battle, but the victory belongs to the LORD."

— Proverbs 21:31 (ESV)

✠ P.S. If finding your next step feels like wandering in the desert, reassurance will not lead you out—resolve will. Men do not lack direction because the path is hidden; they lack it because drift has gone unchallenged. The Kingdom Council 🏛️—Brotherhood of Kings trains you to end hesitation and take decisive action that builds momentum. Because a man who keeps delaying his purpose will eventually live without one.

Get Lazer Focused!

By Ryan M. Maes Leave a Comment

A man on a dirt road chasing two rabbits darting in opposite directions, ultimately catching neither.

If you try to chase two rabbits, you end up catching none. Not only will you fail to catch either, but you'll become exhausted, frantic, and disoriented.

Men with laser focus, who consciously DELAY GRATIFICATION, will consistently outperform and have an advantage over men who are random and scattered with their efforts, vision, and mission.

There is no higher and simpler law of strategy than keeping your forces concentrated, your energy concentrated, and your focus concentrated.

So, get clear on your mission and be ultra-specific because "if you don't know where you're going, you'll end up someplace else," and "he who fails to plan is planning to fail."

"I know all the things you do, that you are neither hot nor cold. I wish that you were one or the other! But since you are like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth!"

— Revelation 3:15-16 (NLT)

is this one better ?

✠ P.S. If you keep weighing options and nothing in your life is actually changing, this is not a planning problem—it is decision avoidance. Men do not stall because choices are unclear; they stall because nothing punishes indecision. The Kingdom Council 🏛️—Brotherhood of Kings trains you to end hesitation and enforce commitment. Because a man who refuses to choose will watch life choose for him.

The God Pill is one of the rare places where we guys can share men’s topics that most churches will never touch on. Where can we guys talk about intersexual dynamics, real issues that plague men in our current gynocentric society and sissified churches, where we sing about Jesus being our lover and never about joining the Supreme Commander of the Armies of Heaven for battle? It’s a little like the red pill but less biased. It hammers on the fact that men are the captain of their own ship [and] hence encourages accountability. It’s a space for Christian men.

I Like The God Pill...

more than the other men’s communities because the secular ones were just men complaining, crying, and venting about their girlfriends and marital status. Seriously, we’re MEN here. Boys complain about their problems. MEN find solutions to their problems. To see a bunch of men crying like little girls on that MGTOW page is honestly pathetic, so I unfollowed the group. We have all been betrayed, and it hurts, but we need to pull it together and let God lift us back up.

If You Are Looking For A manly & Godly Brotherhood...

this is the place. No whining here. Together, we learn and warn each other about the current pitfalls facing those of us unashamed of their God-given masculinity. No emojis, no AI sermons, just men learning and communicating overtly and willing to act like men according to biblical standards (1 Cor 16:13 ESV). We love women for who they are, not for what we wished they were.
