Masculinity Quotes

God, Manliness, and Muscular Christianity

By Ryan M. Maes Leave a Comment

A man embodying the tenets of "muscular Christianity," exuding strength, discipline, and moral vigor.

"Christianity is a fighting religion."

— C.S. Lewis

"Muscular Christianity" promotes physical manliness, virtue—a code of honor marked by loyalty, integrity, and bravery—and masculinity of character.

Followers embrace the principle that a man's physical capabilities should be developed and disciplined not solely for personal gain but to defend those in need, advance virtuous causes, and subdue the earth by the divine mandate given to men.

"Bodily exercise, when it is well ordered, is also prayer by means of which you can please God our Lord."

— Attributed to Saint Ignatius of Loyola (1491–1556)

The tenets of Muscular Christianity are as follows:

  1. A man's body is given to him by God;
  2. It is to be trained;
  3. It is to be brought into subjection;
  4. It is then to be used for the protection of the weak;
  5. For the advancement of all righteous causes;
  6. And for the subduing of the earth, which God has given to the children of men.

"Take care of your body as if you were to live forever; and take care of your soul as if you were to die tomorrow."

— Attributed to Saint Augustine (354–430)

Remember

"God revealed Himself in the Bible pervasively as king not queen; father not mother. The second person of the Trinity is revealed as the eternal Son not daughter; the Father and the Son create man and woman in His image and give them the name man, the name of the male… God has given Christianity a masculine feel."

— John Piper

✠ P.S. If you are tired of getting talked over, ignored, or treated like you are harmless, it is time to face the truth: you taught people they could get away with it. Not because you are weak—you kept the peace instead of drawing a line. The Kingdom Council 🏛️ is where you break that pattern and start carrying yourself in a way that commands respect. Because the world does not honor quiet resentment—it honors honest conviction.

Meekness Is Not Weakness

By Ryan M. Maes Leave a Comment

Jesus and Satan locked in an intense arm-wrestling match, their expressions determined, with a dramatic backdrop of light and shadow symbolizing the clash between good and evil.

"Anybody can become angry—that is easy, but to be angry with the right person and to the right degree and at the right time and for the right purpose, and in the right way—that is not within everybody's power and is not easy."

― Aristotle

Men today are REDEFINING terms.

They are saying that Jesus was the MEEKEST man alive—

—and what they mean by this is that He's some sort of SISSY, some kind of Gandhi, some type of Buddhist whipping boy—"you can hit me, but I'll never fight back."

"I'll NEVER raise my hand."

It's always this soft, LIMP-WRISTED nonsense.

A flamboyantly effeminate, limp-wristed yellow hand.

These individuals frequently misquote verses about "turning the other cheek."

"Most morality is cowardice in the guise of morality."

— Friedrich Nietzsche, German philosopher

They become pacifists because they think that's what meekness is—

—and that's NOT what meekness is.

Meekness is not weakness.

Meekness is strength under control.

Again, meekness isn't weakness; it's strength under control.

Meekness is a man who can CRUSH YOU 💪, but he's got enough control over his spirit and emotions that he won't.

He could, but he WON'T.

The Bible says, "Be ye angry, and sin not" (Eph. 4:26).

Our Lord Jesus experienced anger, and yet He was without sin (Heb. 4:15).

He spoke as one with 👉 AUTHORITY 👈 (Matt. 7:23)—always humble yet confident, patient yet resolute.

—and that's where the VIRTUE lies.

Never mistake Christ's tolerance for ACCEPTANCE—

—or His patience for PASSIVITY.

"Whoever is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city."

— Proverbs 16:32 (ESV)

"Do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell."

— Matthew 10:28 (ESV)

✠ P.S. If you are tired of getting talked over, shrinking in conversations, and replaying what you should have said after the moment has passed, this is the truth: hesitation is not harmless—it trains others to lead while you follow. The Kingdom Council 🏛️ is where men drop the nice-guy mask and speak with clarity, confidence, and charisma.

Don't Be a "Man-Child"

By Ryan M. Maes Leave a Comment

An obese man in a diaper holding a large jar of milk, exuding an odd and comical absurdity.

"Drop your c*cks and grab your socks!"

A woman's job is not to protect you, provide for you, or parentally invest in you.

Her job is not to take care of you.

You are not a CHILD.

You are not a BABY.

A woman wants to be the princess in your fairy tale; she doesn't want YOU 🫵 to be the princess in hers.

You must bring value to your relationship if you want to be loved, admired, and RESPECTED.

Again, you must bring value!

It's your MASCULINE DUTY 💪.

"A woman will leave you for only one reason: she thinks she can do better."

— George Bruno

If you act like a child, if you whine about life—if you're incompetent—she'll never respect you.

And if she doesn't RESPECT you, she can't LOVE you.

Remember

A woman must respect you 👉 BEFORE 👈 she can love you.

Do you understand?

"A woman needs a rock to lean on; she doesn't want to be the rock you lean on."

— The God Pill

✠ P.S. When tension rises and control slips, it is not because she changed—it is because your frame weakened. Men lose authority the moment they hesitate, overthink, or defer under pressure. This brotherhood is where order is restored, conviction is reforged, and authority is exercised daily—inside The Kingdom Council 🏛️. Weak frames negotiate. Strong frames decide.

Stop Seeking Approval!

By Ryan M. Maes Leave a Comment

A man standing on a mountain crest, gazing at a vibrant sunset casting warm hues across the horizon, surrounded by the serene beauty of nature.

"An Authentic Man is non-reactive. He doesn't let the opinions of others influence or discourage him. He is always sure of himself and his convictions because his ally is truth. He strives for excellence, not acceptance, because he knows that winners look internally, but losers look externally."

— The God Pill

Women seek approval—NOT MEN.

Women seek acceptance—NOT MEN.

Women seek validation—NOT MEN.

Your objective is to find merit in your own efforts, incentives, and values—and trust God and your internal scorecard rather than the opinions of others.

Because if God is your inspiration, He becomes your VALIDATION—

—and when God is your validation, He becomes your VINDICATION.

So, strive for EXCELLENCE, not acceptance, because Winners look internally, but losers look externally.

Focus on the CONTROLLABLE and let go of the UNCONTROLLABLE, since pain is inevitable—

—but suffering is VOLUNTARY.

It may feel like it's you versus the world—

—but it's really just you versus yourself.

Remember: Never let the warfare around you become the warfare WITHIN you.

"You will continue to suffer if you have an emotional reaction to everything that is said to you. True power is sitting back and observing everything with logic. If words control you, that means everyone else can control you. Breathe and allow things to pass."

— Commonly attributed to Bruce Lee

✠ P.S. Carrying the weight of manhood alone does not build strength—it buries it. Men do not break because they are weak; they break because they are isolated. This brotherhood is where men break isolation and build resilience—inside The Kingdom Council 🏛️. Weight shared sharpens men. Weight shouldered alone shatters them.

My Review Of The God Pill:

[The God Pill] is my go-to when discussing relationship dynamics and having them work in tandem with my faith in God. It’s something all Christian men need right now. Thank you for all you do, and I hope it will continue to grow and help us lead in our relationships.

One Thing Is For Sure:

The God Pill is one of the rare places where we guys can share men’s topics that most churches will never touch on. Where can we guys talk about intersexual dynamics, real issues that plague men in our current gynocentric society and sissified churches, where we sing about Jesus being our lover and never about joining the Supreme Commander of the Armies of Heaven for battle? The God Pill is a breath of fresh air, and King David would have certainly joined it, in my opinion!

If You Are Looking For A Manly & Godly Brotherhood...

this is the place. No whining here. Together, we learn and warn each other about the current pitfalls facing those of us unashamed of their God-given masculinity. No emojis, no AI sermons, just men learning and communicating overtly and willing to act like men according to biblical standards (1 Cor 16:13 ESV). We love women for who they are, not for what we wished they were.

I Am Enjoying & Finding Value With The God Pill

It’s helping me identify my weaknesses while giving me practical advice on what and how to self-improve. It’s also helping me identify women’s nature. I’ve been able to identify where I went wrong in past relationships while understanding what brought me there to those places and what women’s motives were at those times.
