At The God Pill, we believe that marriage is a typology or symbol of the relationship between CHRIST and His Church.

Now, genuine submission involves one party yielding to another's authority, creating a distinction between the one who submits and the one who is submitted to.

Therefore, if the church (the bride) submits to the WORD of Christ (the Husband), Christ's Word must be superior to that of the church—

—and, by extension, the Husband must be the 👉 HEAD 👈 of the wife.

"Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit in everything to their husbands."

You Don't Know What You Don't Know

If you've studied any subject to a moderate extent—and put in reasonable effort—you may know just enough to think you're right, but not enough to realize you're WRONG.

This creates a valley of false confidence.

This phenomenon, known as the Dunning-Kruger effect, occurs when a little knowledge leads to an overestimation of one's understanding or ability.

As you learn more, you realize you know 👉 LESS 👈 than you initially thought.

Your confidence dips—

—but as you continue learning, your understanding deepens, and—ultimately—you become competent enough to know whether you're RIGHT or WRONG.

"Give Me a Helper, Not a Competitor"

So you say that you want peace, do ya?

Then, stay away from so-called "strong and independent" ambitious women—

—because these women are more likely to be masculine, assertive, argumentative, and contentious—the type of women who will make you want to live in a desert... or on the corner of a housetop.

But men of abundance avoid these women—they opt for TRANQUILITY over turmoil.

They crave a SANCTUARY, not a storm.

They want a HELPER, not a hindrance.

They value COOPERATION, not competition.

They seek RESPECT, not ridicule.

They desire PEACE.

Men with OPTIONS avoid "strong and independent" women, because attractive women don't behave like attractive men.

Again, attractive women don't behave like attractive MEN.

Is Your Jealousy Harmful or Healthy?

"My friends, I need help to take on the jealousy I've been feeling lately—two things: one is, I let a spirit of 'oneitis' consume me with a lady at church. I saw her with her new boyfriend at church today. Secondly, this new boyfriend (who I know is a doofus and a douchebag) has another girlfriend that he is showing off on social media. Any quick devotionals or encouragement?"

There are two types of jealousy: a GOOD kind and an EVIL kind.

Again, there are two types of jealousy: "right" and "wrong," protective and possessive.

"I'm not jealous; I'm territorial. You have two choices: either I care about you and I'm territorial, or I don't care about you and I'm not."

Type 1 Jealousy (The "Bad" Kind)

You should strive to recognize, resist, and renounce this type of HARMFUL JEALOUSY—and encourage others to do the same.

Deuteronomy 5:21 states: "You shall not covet your neighbor's wife; and you shall not desire your neighbor's house, his field, his male servant, his female servant, his ox, his donkey, or anything that is your neighbor's."

Why?

Because these things ARE NOT YOURS.

Type 2 Jealousy (The "Good" Kind)

Jealousy over what rightfully belongs to you can be protective, proportionate, and PERMISSIBLE—because these things are YOURS.

Remember: even God is JEALOUS.

The Bible says, "For the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God" (Ex. 34:14).

Therefore, if God is both perfectly good and JEALOUS, then it stands to reason that jealousy, in the proper context, is also 👉 GOOD 👈—because only a coward would not protect what is his.

He Must Increase, But She Must Decrease

As men, our deep attraction to particular women often blinds us to serious RED FLAGS.

When we're smitten, we'll tolerate an entire spectrum of poor behavior, last-minute cancellations, and unreasonable demands.

We'll even accept the lamest of excuses—no questions asked.

Sometimes, hoping against hope, we'll even believe the LIES.

This is the consequence of putting women before God—of making them IDOLS—and deliberately giving ourselves over to "strong delusion."

Remember

You shall make your mission, not women, the FOCUS.

When you make women the focus, they become idols, which is SINFUL.

So be a man after God's own heart, not a man after theirs.

Everything else says, "I'm sorry, forgive me, I can't right now, maybe another time, I have plans, I have a boyfriend, I'm not in the mood, I'm tired, I fell down in the bathtub..." etc.

It's not about what she says—

—but what she DOES.

Actions express PRIORITIES—what is important to her and what is not.

So, examine her ACTIONS, not her words.

If her actions match her words—you can trust her.

If her actions do not match her words—you can't trust her.

Remember, if she's really into you, she'll find a way. If not, she'll find an excuse.

It's that simple.

When a woman has genuine desire, she will make it OBVIOUS: there is no guesswork.
